Early life
Sonu is the daughter of veteran makeup artist Ramakrishna. She is a student, doing her B Com.
Career
Sonu kicked off her career with the much awaited second film of Soori, the director of the successful Duniya. The story of an alcoholic painter, Inti Ninna Preetiya had Shrinagar Kitty and Bhavana among its cast. Sonu played the girl Namana, the protagonist's classmate and lover who later marries someone else. The film released early 2008, and was slammed by critics and audiences alike. However, the performance of Sonu was appreciated.
A hasslefree actress, she later appeared as sister to Shiv Rajkumar in Parameshi Paanwala. The film sank at the box office. Sonu's next is the new year release Gulaama in which she plays Prajwal Devraj's love interest. She will also team up with Digant in Sihi Muthu later in 2009. Sonu will also be seen in a Tamil film Anandam Arambham opposite the actor Murali's son.
